Events:

First Scene:
INT. CSI - LAB -- DAY:
Nick enters the lab. Greg doesnīt just give him the results of his swab. Instead they play "name that chemical compound." Today's category: "Explosives." 30 seconds on the clock. Using a black marker, Greg starts to compose a compound on the glass board. Nick guesses itīs nitroglycerin, the explosive component of dynamite. Greg tells him the other component for dynamite is either silica or sawdust, which he has found in Nickīs sample. Nick asks, "What'd I win?"

Second Scene:
INT. CSI - HALLWAY -- DAY:
Gregīs Lab. The glass doors are closed. Gregīs at his lab table with his back to the door. Loud music is blaring. Greg is swinging and swaying to the beat of the music. Grissom and Catherine enter. Gregīs wearing a latex glove blown up on his head, a paper mask with lips and teeth on the front, and plastic glasses. He's playing air drums to the extremely loud pulsating music with a test tube grasped in each hand as drumsticks while wearing thick black rubber gloves. Catherine looks amused. Grissom looks ... "Grissom-ish". Catherine turns the tape off. The music stops. Greg stops, takes the paper mask off of his mouth and smiles. "I could have been a rock star."
"There's still time, Greg." Grissom replies. Greg removes the goggles and glove from his head, babbles on a little bit more, until Catherine urges him to spit the results out already. Greg does.

Best Dialogs:
Greg: "I could have been a rock star."
Grissom: "There's still time, Greg."

Greg: "Yeah, I'm like a sponge. I just absorb information."
Grissom: "I thought that was my line."
Greg: "Yeah, and I absorbed it."

My Comment:
Greg rocks in the lab. Grissom and Catherine are stunned. Me too. One of the funniest moments ever. The mask, the gloves, the music and the latex thing. Grissom is barely able to keep a straight face. (By the way: William Petersen couldnīt keep a straight face watching Eric Szmanda. It took some time to finish the scene.) He wants to be strict with his favorite lab boy and almost succeeds. But if you watch closely you can see Grissom is not really mad at Greg. How could he when Greg tells him he absorbed Grissomīs favorite line. Again Gregīs admiration for Grissom is obvious. Again Grissomīs softness for the crazy boy is obvious too.

Greg and Nick. It shows that Greg is bored working in the lab because he uses every opportunity to make his life more interesting. Nick is the perfect guy for having a little fun. Greg would never dare to tease Grissom this way. *grin* But I would love to see that. Nice Nick just plays along. Thatīs why the Greg/Nick ship never held any interest for me. They are just nice together. No tension lies here.
